Our Mission

The Redmond Police Foundation supports the law enforcement professionals of the Redmond Police Department in order to recognize their service and dedication to our community; and, grant funds to the Redmond Police Department for essential non-budgeted expenditures that aid, facilitate, and provide for effective policing of our community.

Our Vision

An active, financially viable Foundation integrated into the Redmond community. Ethical, effective fundraising enabling robust grant programs to the Redmond Police Department. Strong advocacy for law enforcement challenges and public safety issues. Sponsor events recognizing the heroism, valor, and outstanding achievements of the professional staff of the Redmond Police Department.

Chairman of the board

Retired business executive with 30+ years in corporate finance and production operations. Retired from Robert Bosch, GmbH. Ten-year board member for a Southern California US defense contractor. Volunteer for the Redmond Police Department since 2009.

Grew up in Switzerland with a strong awareness of community, safety, security, privacy, and democracy, values strengthened by service in the Swiss Army. Career in international business. In addition to the board, volunteers directly with the Redmond Police Department.

Administrative Secretary

Served 32 years as principal Police Legal Advisor for the City of Seattle, counseling chiefs of police, senior staff, and officers on criminal law, constitutional procedures, and personnel law. JD from Tulane, 1973. Expert in law enforcement legal matters.

Proud Redmond resident. Currently at Google. Previously led teams at Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Intel. Strong supporter of political and economic freedoms, scientific progress, government accountability, equal opportunity, and the rule of law.

Community-involved business owner, board member, and senior executive with Nelson Real Estate Management for 20 years. Background in insurance risk management, strategic planning, and organization development. Lives and works in greater Redmond.

OneRedmond Foundation Board Member and former Redmond City Councilmember (2008–2023). BS in Business Management from Oregon State University. IT consultant for small businesses on the Eastside. Member of Redmond Kiwanis. Lives in Overlake with his wife Danielle and their spaniel Piper.

Business professional with a background in Program Management and Organizational Continuous Improvement Leadership. Led LEAN and Six Sigma initiatives at GE Aviation. Long history of nonprofit leadership roles including the Redmond Historical Society, Redmond's Public Safety Advisory Board, and Knit for Life.

Lieutenant Ryan George

Redmond Police Department

Lieutenant George has served the City of Redmond since 2008 and currently oversees Patrol Operations, including Dayshift Patrol, Traffic Unit, and Bicycle Unit. Previous assignments include Patrol and Community Engagement supervision. He has served as a Patrol Officer, SWAT Team member, and instructor for Firearms, Active Shooter Response, and Less Lethal Munitions. Veteran of the US Army and US Air Force. Graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at the Drucker School of Management.
